Clairalience

Clairalience means "clear smelling": the intuitive ability to perceive scents that have no physical source, such as a departed loved one's perfume or tobacco smoke.

Clairalience, or "clear smelling," is one of the five core intuitive senses known as the Clairs. It is the ability to perceive a scent that has no physical source in the room, a departed grandmother's favorite perfume, a whiff of pipe tobacco, cut grass in the dead of winter. For many people, a sudden, unexplainable scent is one of the first ways a loved one in spirit makes their presence known. It is a real, recognized channel of intuition, every bit as valid as clear seeing or clear hearing.
