An Intimate Evening in Niagara: Messages Over a Pint

Niagara This Week came out when I brought an intimate evening to Cold Break Brewing in St. Catharines, and I loved every minute of it. There is something disarming about doing this work in a cosy room with a pint in people's hands. The guard comes down. The laughter comes easier. And the messages land somewhere softer.

People come to an evening like this bringing one hope above all others, to hear from someone they love who has crossed over. That closure matters more than almost anything I do. An evening like this holds space for it, a group reading where the messages find the people who need them, and an open question and answer where nothing is off limits.

I told Niagara This Week something I still believe. Even if you do not receive a personal message that night, you will not leave empty. You will leave enriched, because this work is not only about the words that come through. It is about remembering, together, that the people we love are closer than we were ever taught to believe.
