Bringing Spirit Box to the Stage: My Return to Toronto
Superstitious Times · January 1, 2025
Superstitious Times covered my return to the Toronto stage. There is nothing like a live room, a group of strangers, and the messages that come through for exactly the person who needed them.

Superstitious Times caught up with me about coming back to the Toronto stage with Spirit Box, and I could not have been more ready. A private reading is sacred and intimate, but a live room is something else entirely. There is a particular kind of magic when a group of strangers gathers in the dark and the messages start to land, and a woman three rows back gasps because the detail that just came through could only be for her.
That is what a live show is. It is not a performance in the theatrical sense, even though I did spend years as a classical actor before this work claimed me. It is real communication, done out loud, in a room full of people who came hoping for a sign. Some laugh. Some cry. Most do both. And everyone leaves having felt, at least once, that the veil is thinner than they were told, and that their people are closer than they feared.

Come and experience this work the way it is meant to be felt, live and in the room. See where I am appearing next.

A group gathers while the medium brings through messages for people in the room, blending readings with storytelling. Not everyone receives a personal message, but everyone shares the experience.
