Clairaudience

Clairaudience means "clear hearing" — the intuitive ability to receive messages through sounds, words, or phrases heard internally or externally.

Clairaudience is the intuitive ability to receive information through hearing. The word means "clear hearing." A clairaudient may hear words, phrases, names, music, or sounds — either internally (like a thought that is not their own) or externally (as if someone spoke aloud).

During a mediumship session, clairaudience often shows up as hearing a name, a specific phrase the deceased person used to say, or a song that holds significance. It is one of the ways spirit communicates — through the familiar sounds and language of the person who has passed.

Clairaudience is not the same as hearing voices in a clinical sense. The information comes through as clear, purposeful impressions — often a single word or short phrase — rather than ongoing dialogue. Experienced practitioners learn to distinguish clairaudient messages from their own internal thoughts by the quality and tone of what they receive.

You may have experienced clairaudience if you have ever heard your name called when no one was there, or if a specific song came to mind at a meaningful moment. These are subtle forms of clairaudient perception that many people experience without recognising what it is.
