Clairvoyance
Clairvoyance means "clear seeing" — the intuitive ability to receive information through mental images, visions, or visual impressions.
Clairvoyance is one of the primary intuitive senses. The word comes from French — "clair" meaning clear and "voyance" meaning seeing. A clairvoyant receives information through mental images, symbols, colours, or scenes that appear in their mind's eye.
These impressions are not like watching a movie. They are more like flashes — a quick image of a place, a symbol that carries meaning, a colour that represents an emotion. The skill of a clairvoyant lies in interpreting these images accurately and communicating what they mean in the context of a reading.
Many people assume that all psychics are clairvoyant, but that is not the case. Clairvoyance is just one of several intuitive channels. Some practitioners primarily feel (clairsentience), hear (clairaudience), or know (claircognizance). Most experienced psychics use a combination, but one sense tends to be dominant.
You may have experienced clairvoyance yourself without realising it — a vivid dream that later came true, a mental image of someone just before they called, or a strong visual impression during meditation. These are all forms of clairvoyant perception.
