How to Find a Trusted Psychic Medium in Toronto
The "best" psychic in Toronto isn't really a thing — finding the right fit is. Angel Morgan shares what green flags and red flags to look for, what readings cost in the GTA, and how to book without regret.

The short answer
Finding a trusted psychic medium in Toronto isn't about ranking the "best." It's about finding a practitioner whose experience, approach, and honesty match what you're looking for. Real practitioners have verifiable public history (years in practice, media coverage, reviews you can actually check), transparent posted pricing, and will never tell you you're cursed or that you need an expensive second session to "fix" something. Most legitimate psychic readings in Toronto and the GTA range from roughly $75 to $300 CAD depending on length and practitioner experience. Virtual readings are just as accurate as in-person, and most established Toronto practitioners offer both.
The rest of this article is the honest guide I'd give a friend who asked me how to find a good reader in this city — written by someone who has been practicing here for over three decades.
Why the "best psychic in Toronto" isn't the right question
Every year, blog posts and directories publish "Top 10 Psychics in Toronto" lists. Most of them are paid placements or affiliate arrangements, not editorial rankings. They don't mean what they seem to mean.
More importantly, "best" isn't how psychic readings actually work. A practitioner who's exactly right for a grieving widow wanting to hear from her husband may be completely wrong for a 28-year-old trying to figure out whether to leave her job. Different practitioners have different strengths — some are strong in mediumship, some in career and relationship readings, some in animal communication, some in healing work. The real question isn't "who is the best?" It's "who is the right fit for what I'm going through?"
The rest of this guide is about how to answer that second question.
Red flags — walk away immediately
If you encounter any of these, the practitioner is not someone to trust, regardless of how impressive their website looks:
They tell you you're cursed, hexed, or carrying heavy negative energy that only they can remove — for an additional fee. This is the single most common scam in the spiritual industry, and it's unfortunately common in parts of Toronto as well. No reputable medium operates this way. If you hear the word "curse" paired with a payment request, leave.
Pressure to book a follow-up immediately or purchase a package. A real reading gives you information you can sit with. If the session ends with urgent pressure to commit to more, that's sales, not service.
Escalating fees during the session. "The reading has revealed something deeper — this requires additional work, which is $500." No. The posted rate should be the final rate.
Vague, generic statements with no specifics. "You've been going through a hard time." "There's a challenge in your relationship." These are cold-reading techniques — statements so general that they apply to almost anyone. A real reading has specifics.
No verifiable public presence. If you can't find a website, reviews from real people, any press, or any public history beyond a single listing on a directory site, be cautious.
Heavy fear-based messaging. A real reading should leave you clearer, not more afraid.
They refuse to let you record. A real practitioner wants you to remember what came through. Recording should be welcomed, not blocked.
Green flags — signs of a real practitioner
Flip the list above and you have most of the green flags. A few more worth calling out:
Years of documented practice. In this field, a decade of consistent work is meaningful. Twenty or thirty years is substantial. Look for practitioners whose career has a trail you can follow.
Verifiable media coverage. Interviews, articles, TV appearances. Not ads — real editorial pieces. This doesn't guarantee they're right for you, but it's a real signal of credibility.
Specific, testable details. A real reading contains names, dates, memories, or facts that you can verify. Not just "someone who loved you deeply is around you."
Willingness to say when something isn't coming through clearly. This is one of the strongest signals of a real practitioner. The faker fills every silence with detail. The real medium says "I'm not getting that clearly, let's come back to it."
Clear scope. They tell you what they do and don't do. A medium who says "I don't do financial predictions — I won't tell you which stocks to buy" is trustworthy.
Transparent pricing and format. Posted rates on their website. No mystery packages. No "the full reading requires additional sessions."
Reviews that sound like real human beings. Specific, recent, written with detail. Not just five-star emoji reviews.
Questions to ask before you book
Send these in an email or ask on a first phone call. A reputable practitioner will answer all of them without defensiveness:
- How long have you been practicing?
- What's your strongest area — general psychic work, mediumship, animal communication?
- What's the format and length of a first session?
- What's your rate, and is that the final price?
- Do you offer video, phone, in-person, or all three?
- Can I record the session?
- What's your policy on rescheduling or refunds?
- Have you been featured in any media?
If the answers come back clear, warm, and direct, that's a good sign. If they come back evasive or pushy, move on.
Where to find reviews you can actually trust
Most psychic directory sites are pay-to-play. Star ratings on a generic directory don't mean much. Better signals:
Google reviews on the practitioner's own business profile. These are harder to fake, and Google is aggressive about removing bots. Read the written reviews, not just the average star rating. Look for specifics — a review that mentions what the reader said and how the client felt afterward is real. A review that just says "amazing!!!" may not be.
Word of mouth from someone who has actually sat with them. This is still the gold standard. A friend-of-a-friend recommendation carries weight a stranger's five-star review can't.
Media features in real publications. The Toronto Guardian, NOW Toronto, Torontonicity, CBC, Rogers TV — these are editorial placements, not ads. A practitioner who has been profiled by them has been vetted in a meaningful way.
Long-running social profiles with engaged communities. Instagram and YouTube accounts with years of consistent content, real comments, and genuine engagement tell you the practitioner is established.
What a psychic reading costs in Toronto
Honest pricing context. These numbers are what legitimate, experienced practitioners in the Toronto and GTA market charge as of 2026:
- Mini-readings at events (15–20 minutes): $30–$75 CAD
- Standard first reading (45–60 minutes): $75–$200 CAD
- In-depth mediumship or specialty sessions (60–90 minutes): $150–$300 CAD
- Group events (live audience, Spirit Box style): $20–$75 CAD per attendee
Anything significantly below $75 for a full private reading is often a volume-model practitioner or someone very new. Anything substantially above $300 should come with verifiable experience — decades of practice, major media coverage, or specialized training.
The posted rate should be the final rate. No add-ons, no "cleansing ceremony" upcharges, no mystery packages.
Virtual, phone, or in-person: which is right for you?
Most of my readings happen virtually — by video or phone — and I work with clients across Canada, the United States, the UK, Europe, and beyond. In-person sessions are available for clients in Toronto and the GTA, but virtual is the default for most.
For a first reading, I usually recommend video. You're in your own space, there's no travel, and the accuracy is identical to in-person. Phone is a good option if you're introverted, emotionally raw, or prefer not to be on camera. In-person is lovely if you're in Toronto and want the experience of being in the room, but it's not a "better" reading — just a different format.
Energy isn't geographically dependent. What matters is that you're somewhere quiet, uninterrupted, and open.
About my own practice
This section is intentionally brief and factual — you can verify every piece of it.
I've been practicing as a psychic medium, animal communicator, and healer for over 30 years. I'm based in Toronto, Ontario, and work primarily with clients worldwide by video and phone, with in-person sessions available in Toronto. My work has been featured in the Toronto Guardian, NOW Toronto, Torontonicity, Wellness Voice, Rogers TV (my show Raising Energy), and the National Women's Show. I've also been featured on CBC and appear regularly on live events and podcasts.
I offer psychic readings, mediumship sessions, animal communication (for living and deceased pets), speciality readingsincluding Akashic Records, and mentoring for people developing their own intuitive abilities.
I don't do curse removal, hex reversal, or any kind of "energy clearing" add-on. My pricing is posted on the services pages, and the posted rate is the final rate.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a psychic reading cost in Toronto? Legitimate private readings in Toronto and the GTA typically range from $75 to $300 CAD depending on length and the practitioner's experience. Event-style mini-readings are less, deep mediumship sessions more. The posted rate should always be the final rate.
Are there walk-in psychics in Toronto? Some exist, particularly in busier parts of the city, but walk-in psychics are usually not the right place to start. Established practitioners typically require booking in advance, which gives both of you time to prepare and creates a more meaningful session.
Do psychics in Toronto do virtual readings? Yes — most established Toronto practitioners offer video and phone sessions in addition to in-person. Virtual readings are just as accurate as in-person, and for many first-timers, easier.
Is it worth paying more for an experienced psychic? Not necessarily. Pricing isn't the same as accuracy. A $300 reading with a new practitioner isn't automatically better than a $150 reading with someone who's been practicing for decades. Experience, specific strengths, and fit matter more than price.
What areas outside Toronto do you serve? Virtually, I work with clients worldwide — across Canada, the United States, the UK, Europe, and beyond. In person, I see clients in Toronto and the GTA. Time zone differences are easy to work around for video and phone sessions.
Ready when you are
If you're looking for a reading and want to see if we're a fit, you can book a private session with me — by video or phone from anywhere in the world, or in person if you're in Toronto. New clients receive a short follow-up call after their first session.
If you're not sure which type of reading fits what you're going through, send me a message describing what's happening. I'll tell you honestly which session I think will serve you best — and if I'm not the right practitioner for your situation, I'll say so.
